Welcome to the ninth module of LUNA! This module will teach you how to help your child create and adapt their plan of action for fears that are related to two specific autistic traits, specifically when anxiety is related to 1) sensory sensitivities or 2) difficulties with changing routine.
As discussed earlier in LUNA, there is often overlap between these autism characteristics and anxiety. While it is important to select targets that are rooted in anxiety for your child’s plans of action, there are some things to think about when making these plans when they are related to the core characteristics of autism.
In this module, we will discuss plans of action that target anxiety related to sensory sensitivities and changes in routine for autistic children. If this topic does not apply to your family, you can move on to a different module.
