Congratulations! You just finished Module 5
Congratulations on making it through another week! We hope you are finding time for yourself and showing yourself compassion as you work with your child through a process that is challenging for kids and their caregivers.
This week, we gave you some tips to complete mission plans and some guidance in case you run into problems. We will have more tips for more specific problems later on, but for now, remember to keep the following ideas in mind:
- Plan your child’s practice! It is very important that you plan ahead for when you will practice mission plans, as this will keep you accountable.
- Change it up! Most of the time if you keep practicing an activity, it will get easier for your child, and they will feel more prepared for the next one.
- Track your child’s progress. Noting their achievements will help keep you and your child motivated!
- Make sure you give your child their assigned reward after practicing their mission plan– this will also keep them motivated.
- If you come across any issues, look back at the troubleshooting list above.
Over the next week:
Try your best to practice steps in your mission plan every day. Use the Weekly Practice Plan worksheet to plan out your practice, and use the Mission Plan Practice Log to keep track of your progress!
