Congratulations! You just finished Module 8
This week, you learned how to do social coaching with your child. Here are some points to keep in mind as you continue to practice social coaching:
- Social coaching is a great way to help kids manage their social anxiety.
- Try to set your child up for success when doing social coaching. Pick a task that will not be too hard for them.
- Switch roles while role-playing the social situations so that you can model the social skill to them and they can practice using it.
Over the next week:
Practice at least one exposure involving social coaching. Use the Planning a Social Coaching Mission Step worksheet to plan out the social coaching exercise you will do with your child.
