Welcome to the eleventh module of LUNA!
You have now completed most of the LUNA program! We hope you feel like your hard work and commitment have begun to pay off. In this module, we will give you a moment to pause and reflect on your journey. This module will also be shorter than most. We hope this gives you some extra time to revisit any past modules or past concepts you feel like reviewing. You might decide to spend some extra time on your plan of action this week as well!
Things to Remember
Just like with the other supplemental modules, if you and your parent feel that this module is not relevant for you, feel free to move on to a different one. We want you to get the most out of LUNA, so please work on the supplemental modules (modules 8 through 11) in whatever way works best! Be sure to discuss this with your parent, as it is important that you both read the same modules each week. No matter which module you decide to read, it’s important that you continue working towards your goals by making progress on your plan of action!
Take a Deep Breath... and Reflect
By this point, you have probably been working on your plan of action (or maybe a few different plans) for a couple weeks.
Now, we would like you to take a moment to reflect on your progress. Facing your fears is hard work, and we hope you are proud of yourself for all that you’ve accomplished so far. Take some time to reflect on how your plan of action practice has gone so far by using the Reflect on Your Progress worksheet, or by viewing the worksheet questions below.
Reflect on Your Progress
Take some time to think back on how things were when you started LUNA and how things are now using the questions below. It may also be helpful to talk to your parents so they can help you to reflect on your progress as well.
- While completing your exposure activities, what has gone well for you so far and what has been challenging?
- Have you made progress on your goals or achieved them?
- While completing your exposure activities, has anything gone differently than you expected?
- What are you able to do now that you weren’t able to do at the beginning of the program?
- What skills have you learned that you can use to manage your anxiety? Have they helped you?
Maintaining Progress
For the rest of this week, and for all your remaining weeks in LUNA, continue to focus on getting the most out of your exposure activity practices. Continue working on your current plans and practicing the skills you have learned. Think about which tools and lessons have been the most helpful for you so far and remember to keep using these tools. This week may be a perfect time to revisit any past modules that were particularly helpful for you- or ones that were particularly confusing.
Aim to make some progress on your plan of action every week. Remember, for each new week, create a new schedule using the Weekly Practice Plan worksheet. You can create this schedule based on a new plan of action, or you can continue working on the same plan from the previous week(s) if you would like. If needed, you can always re-read Module 4 to create a new plan.
