Summary
Congratulations! You have made it through another week of LUNA! We hope you are finding time for yourself and are showing yourself compassion as you help your child through this process.
This week, you learned how to help your child execute their plan and complete their exposure activities. Here are some summary points:
- Before practices: Plan your child’s practice using the Weekly Practice Plan. Planning will help your child consistently practice their exposure activities.
- During practices: Monitor your child’s practices and check in on their anxiety intensity level ratings. Make sure your child is keeping track of their practices using the Plan of Action Activity Log.
- After practices: Check in with your child to make sure they are staying motivated. Make sure to debrief with your child after practices and help them reflect on their fears.
- If you come across any issues, troubleshoot and be patient with yourself and your child.
Over the next week...
- Help your child get started with their plan! Create a weekly schedule to determine when your child will practice exposure activities using the Weekly Practice Plan worksheet.
- Monitor your child’s progress as they follow their plan and complete activities.
- Check-in with your child after activities and help them reflect. Make sure they log practices in their Plan of Action Activity Log.
