LUNA (Learning to Understand and Navigate Anxiety)

Reflecting after doing mission plan activities

Master
Content

While it is important to discuss your child’s thoughts and beliefs related to mission plans, it is also important to be able to reflect on other components of mission plans.

Doing mission plans isn’t always easy. Sometimes, they don’t go the way we would hope. It can also be difficult to see your child challenge their anxieties and fears. However, remember that challenging anxiety comes with a lot of learning opportunities for everyone involved. You are already doing great by coming so far, so keep it up!

To help you reflect on the mission plan activities you completed this past week, we included an exercise here. Fill in the reflection worksheet! Or, follow the prompt to make your own.

Mission Plan Parent Reflection

Use this worksheet to reflect on the mission plan practice sessions you and your child do together

  • Record the Date
  • Record the Mission Plan Practice Activity
  • Record how you feel as a parent?
  • Record If you needed to troubleshoot the step, what did you do? Did it work?

Ready for a new mission plan?

If you and your child would like to focus on your current mission plan, great idea! Keep going.

For some families, now might be a good time to start working on another mission plan. If you think you and your child are ready to work on another fear, we encourage you to make a new mission plan on it. Refer back to Module 4 for instructions on how to start a mission plan!
