Don’t forget to discuss with your parent about which module you should read this week before you get started! It’s important that you and your parent read the same module each week.

Have you made a lot of progress on one fear and are ready to start taking on a new one? Do you have a new fear that became a bigger issue in the last few weeks? This module will help if you are ready to work on multiple mission plans. This week, you will keep working on your current mission plan, and you will also learn about a making new mission plan!

Are you ready for a new mission plan?

It is important to take time to think about how things have gone so far with LUNA. As you think about your progress so far and whether you’re ready for a new mission plan, we would like to tell you about some of the reasons why you might want to start one:

  1. You cannot work on a mission plan as much as you want because your mission plan goal is very specific. For example, your mission plan is about your fear of the doctor. Because you don’t have your doctor’s visits every week, it is hard for you to work on this fear. In this case, you might want to start a new mission plan that you can work on regularly in addition to your current mission plan.
  2. You feel stuck on your current mission plan and you do not feel like you are making any progress. In this case, before you move on to making a new mission plan, discuss with your parent to see whether you can troubleshoot anything to help you move forward. Sometimes this might work, but sometimes, it might help you to start a new mission plan and mix things up! Working on another mission plan might even help you gain the confidence and bravery to come back to your current mission plan.
  3. You have already reached your mission plan goal or you are close to reaching your mission plan goal, and you would like to tackle some of your other fears or anxieties. In this case, awesome job! Keep doing what you are doing and start working on those other fears.
  4. You have a fear or anxiety that you would like to work on right now because it is coming up soon. For example, you are moving to another school soon, so you want to work on a mission plan to prepare you for meeting new peers at your new school. Or you are soon going to be on a summer break and you are anxious about having a different daily schedule.

What do you think? Would you like to start a new mission plan? Talk with your parent about it and decide whether you want to keep practicing steps from your current mission plan or start a new one. If you do decide to start a new one, continue on to the rest of the module where we will guide you through creating a new mission plan.
