We are writing to inform you of a mandatory new version for Examplify for Windows and macOS. This will be a forced update for your exam-takers.
This update includes important security updates designed to promote exam integrity. Most notably, Microsoft is releasing a new feature of WindowsOS, named Recall, that enables users to record their computer screen for AI-assisted playback and analysis. Recall would allow exam-takers with certain devices to record secure assessment content. This update will prevent the use of that feature during secure exams, protecting the integrity of exam content.
ExamSoft will update BCM to this version on April 8, 2025 by the end of the business day.
Schools have the option for their students to download the software ahead of time on the ExamSoft website starting March 31, 2025.
Actions Required:
- We strongly encourage you to proceed with the Examplify update to ensure that your exam-takers are using the most up-to-date software. If you need to postpone this update due to an assessment scheduling conflict, please notify Ed-Tech as soon as possible.
- As a best practice, instruct exam-takers to verify that their device meets MSRs and to complete a mock exam before taking any assessments.
