Section faculty combine decades of experience in the field of hypertension and antihypertensive therapy with ongoing advances in therapeutics and prevention for exceptional patient care, which focuses on the role of blood pressure in cardiovascular risk assessment, improving management of hypertension, and optimizing blood pressure to prevent cardiovascular disease events. Section faculty members conduct clinical research to evaluate the effects of diet and drug interventions on cardiovascular disease risk factors as well as the use of imaging modalities to detect and monitor atherosclerosis.
