Atherosclerosis and Preventive Cardiology Conference Series
The Preventive Cardiology Fellowship holds a weekly conference series, held Mondays 1–2 p.m., in which different aspects of lipid and hypertension management, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, and preventive cardiology are addressed. Speakers from the Texas Medical Center and other institutions provide didactic lectures, and our Preventive Cardiology fellow leads journal clubs and discussions of scientific meeting highlights.
Center for Translational Research on Inflammatory Diseases (CTRID) Research Seminar Series
The Center for Translational Research on Inflammatory Diseases (CTRID) hosts a weekly research seminar series, held Thursdays 4–5 p.m., in collaboration with the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. These seminars provide a platform to promote interactions and collaboration among new and established investigators and to elicit feedback on upcoming grant applications, manuscripts, and other projects.
James T. Willerson, M.D. Cardiovascular Sciences Seminar Series
The Cardiovascular Research Institute at Baylor College of Medicine, in collaboration with the Texas Heart Institute, conducts a seminar series, held Wednesdays 12–1 p.m., during the spring and fall. The seminars are open to all faculty and students who are interested in cardiovascular sciences. Continuing medical education (CME) credit is available to eligible attendees.
