Eleonora obtained her Ph.D. in Robotics, Cognition and Interaction Technology from the Italian Institute of Technology. She moved to Houston “just for a few years” to further develop her interest in human electrophysiology and brain stimulation and ended up finding her home at Baylor College of Medicine and starting a lab in the Department of Neurosurgery. She is also Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University.
Neuroscience apart, she loves climbing (although Texas makes that difficult), visiting National Parks (she would like to see them all) and photography (mainly of her cats, but she is open to other critters too).

Maria is a 25-year-old Research Technician with a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Although she comes from Spain, her professional journey has taken her far beyond its borders. Her primary focus revolves around signal processing and peak detection in electrophysiological responses to brain stimulation. When she is not immersed in lab work, you'll likely spot her either gliding through the waters while swimming or exploring remote destinations during her travels.
