SCREENS Study (H-53533)
Description
What is the aim of this study?
We are recruiting families with children aged 8 to 11 years old to help us learn about children’s screen use and sleep, cognitive skills, and emotion regulation.
Who is eligible?
Parents and children 8 to 11 years old, all genders, all ethnicities. Families must reside in the greater Houston area.
Your Study Involvement:
This is a 2-week long study that will involve in-home visits. Study measures include
- Saliva samples to measure melatonin levels (sleep hormone)
- Sleep patterns measure via a sleep watch
- Assessments of learning and emotion regulation
You will receive:
- Compensations totaling up to $500 provided via MasterCard (ClinCard) and rewards
Location: In-home visits will be conducted by trained research staff.
