Brain Imaging Study (H-33628)
Description
Baylor College of Medicine needs healthy volunteers for a brain imaging study, as well as patients whose part of the brain that controls vision, as a result of stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumor, neurodegenerative or, neurodevelopmental diseases has been injured.
Volunteers will be asked to perform tasks that relate to the presented visual stimuli, guided by a computer display while receiving a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scan. fMRI uses a magnet and radio waves (no x-rays!). Healthy subjects and patients willing to participate in several experimental sessions over the next few months to a year are highly desired.
Compensation: $25/hour plus a high-resolution MRI image of your brain.
