The Baylor College of Medicine Administrative Fellowship Program offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain management experience within one of the world's leading academic health science institutions. The application deadline for the 2025 Baylor fellowship is Aug. 31, 2024. 

The fellowship interview process begins with a written application round followed by a virtual interview with the BCM Administrative Fellowship Recruitment team for select candidates. Finalists still in contention after the virtual interview will be scheduled for interviews with various BCM leaders with a final decision expected in November. The selected candidate(s) will have their fellowship begin in July 2025.

Who Should Apply

Candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Any recent graduate, or current student with an expected graduation date prior to July 1, 2025, from an accredited master’s or doctoral program with an emphasis in health care administration, policy or finance. A recent graduate is an applicant who has graduated within 18 months of the start date of the fellowship program, July 1, 2025, from an accredited school with a master’s or doctorate with an emphasis in health care administration, policy, or finance.
  • Highly motivated individuals who exhibit strong leadership, communication, teamwork and analytical skills with a strong interest in working in an Academic Health Sciences Center.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.

Application Requirements

To apply for the 2025 fellowship, the following materials must be included:

  • Cover Letter: One page, single-spaced, 1-inch margins, 11- or 12-point font, Times New Roman or Arial Font
  • Personal Statement expressing the applicant’s career goals, interest in academic health centers, and how the applicant can contribute to Baylor College of Medicine’s Mission: One page, single-spaced, 1-inch margins, 11- or 12-point font, Times New Roman or Arial Font
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation: One from a professor, one from a job/internship supervisor, and one personal reference from a non-relative
  • Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs

How to Apply

The application has three requirements:

  • Send a single .PDF package of the cover letter, personal statement, and resume to adminfellow@bcm.edu by 11:59 p.m. CST on Aug. 31, 2024.
  • The three letters or recommendation must be emailed by the recommender with the subject line: “2025 BCM Administrative Fellowship – [Applicant Name] Recommendation” by 11:59 p.m. CST on Aug. 31, 2024.
  • The official transcripts must be sent directly by the applicant’s institution either via email at adminfellow@bcm.edu or via regular mail to the address below by 11:59 p.m. CST on Aug. 31, 2024.
