About the Lab
We are a group of behavioral nutrition researchers led by Dr. Teresia O’Connor, M.D., MPH, FAAP. The O’Connor Lab is part of the USDA/ARS Children’s Nutrition Research Center. Our research focuses on identifying strategies to best prevent childhood obesity; provide better understanding of how fathers and mothers influence their children’s obesity related behaviors; and assessing how to use technology to improve the measurement of children obesity-related behaviors.
Primary Investigator
Dr. O’Connor’s research interests: Parenting, Parent-Child Relationships, Pediatric Obesity Prevention, Use of technology to Measure Behaviors.

The O’Connor Lab is part of the USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center which houses laboratories, state-of-the-art equipment, a greenhouse, observation labs, research volunteer accommodations, a metabolic kitchen, and an elite group of research scientists.
