Undergraduate Students
We welcome undergraduate students with prior coursework in microbiology or bioinformatics to intern full-time, either at the bench or doing bioinformatics, over the summer on a project with a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands on experience and learn the practical basics of experimental design. If you are interested, please send your CV/resume along with the email address for three references, at least one must be from a supervisor in a work setting, to Dr. Lemon at Katherine.Lemon@bcm.edu.
Visiting Students and Scientists
If you are interested in collaborating and visiting the lab, send an email to Katherine.Lemon@bcm.edu.
Graduate Students
Email Katherine.Lemon@bcm.edu in advance to inquire about available space.
Postdoctoral Researchers
Postdoctoral researchers in the Katherine Lemon Lab have prior experience in diverse areas of microbial research. They share a common desire to learn new skills and to delve into the dynamics of human nasal microbiota driven by microbe-microbe and microbe-epithelium interactions. Prior experience in one of the following is preferred: computational biology, natural products chemistry, genetic engineering, microbial physiology and metabolism, microbial ecology or host-microbe interactions. All incoming postdoctoral researchers work directly with Dr. Lemon to write fellowship proposals. If interested, please send a cover letter, CV and the names and email addresses of three references to Katherine.Lemon@bcm.edu.
