Participate in Research
Research is essential for how we learn and understand which kinds of practices and treatments are best suitable for families. In fact, most of what we know about the course and treatment of mental health disorders is because families take on an active and collaborative role in research. Participating in studies can provide direct benefits to the individuals and families, as well as help to inform care for others in need. Getting involved in research can also provide invaluable opportunities for participants to share their experiences, as well as become advocates in their own wellbeing and that of future families.
