NanoString Sample Preparation

Content

Please add 5-10ul extra volume to the requirements below for RNA samples to be submitted for NanoString Prep. GARP requires a single tube to be used for the Quality Control test and NanoString prep.

The following sample preparation guidelines apply to our NanoString assays:

Application: NanoString, Gene Expression
Sample Type: DNase-treated, total RNA
Recommended Amount: > 250 ng, < 5 ul
Minimum Amount: 50 ng good-quality RNA/300 ng degraded RNA; < 5 ul
Buffer: H2O, EB, low TE (< 0.1mM EDTA)
Purity Requirements: A260/280: 1.75 - 2.2, A260/230: 1.45 - 2.2
Quality Requirements: DV200 > 50%

Application: NanoString, Gene Expression (Low Input)
Sample Type: DNase-treated, total RNA
Recommended Amount: > 25 ng, < 4 ul
Minimum Amount: 1 ng good-quality RNA/10 ng degraded RNA; < 4 ul
Buffer: H2O, EB, low TE (< 0.1mM EDTA)
Purity Requirements: A260/280: 1.75 - 2.2, A260/230: 1.45 - 2.2
Quality Requirements: DV200 > 50%
