Professional Statement
I am committed to teaching responsibilities for fellows and residents along with faculty teamwork that is particularly focused on education and training regarding issues of global health, immigrant health, and racial/ethnic disparities. I have a genuine interest in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs related to trainee education in global health and disparities issues. I collaborate with colleagues to pursue academic activities related to matters of equity in medicine and in processes that address them, principally with regard to the clinical care of Latino and Limited English Proficiency patients with Spina Bifida. I am involved with a number of projects in Latin America with ongoing work in Nicaragua.Websites
