Besma Jaafar Nejim, M.D., is a dedicated vascular surgeon with a passion for providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge. She completed her medical degree at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine, followed by a master's degree in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures including dialysis access, lower extremity bypass, carotid, open and endovascular aortic procedures. Notably, she has received additional training in complex endovascular techniques such as transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) and fenestrated endovascular aortic repair (FEVAR). She has also published numerous papers in journals such as Annals of Vascular Surgery and presented in multiple national meetings.
