Dr. Anh Nguyen earned his MD from Hanoi Medical University and his PhD from the University of Texas School of Public Health.

Dr. Nguyen's professional journey includes significant roles both in the US and internationally. Before joining Baylor College of Medicine, he worked as a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, in the Division of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery. Additionally, he has served as a research task force member with the World Health Organization and as a reviewer for the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.

His commitment to healthcare excellence is further demonstrated through his dedication to teaching and mentoring in areas such as research methods, quality and patient safety, and TB and lung diseases. Dr. Nguyen is passionate about leveraging his extensive experience and research to improve patient care outcomes not only in the United States but also in his home country, Vietnam, reflecting his commitment to contributing positively to global health.
