Professional Statement
I am an educational researcher specializing in the planning and implementation of study designs and data analysis. Over the past 10 years, I have collaborated on more than 20 different projects to create and implement robust educational research and evaluation plans aligned with curriculum, learning outcomes, and appropriate assessment instruments for diverse learners across K-12 and post-secondary education.Since 2010, I have acted as the internal evaluator on nine different funded curriculum development and professional development projects in the Baylor College of Medicine Center for Educational Outreach. In this role, I have planned data collection procedures and approaches, designed and revised evaluation instruments for teachers and students, and adapted, evaluated the psychometric properties of, and revised measures of learner affect (e.g., science attitudes, situational interest) related to science education.
I also support other faculty members in the design and evaluation of educational studies, and have been a Co-Director in the BCM Master Teachers Fellowship Program (MTFP) since 2018.
