Professional Statement
I am working as Technical Core Director at Metabolomics Core, Advanced technology Core, and an Instructor in Dept. of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) with a primary focus on managing the core, developing new methods, and working on existing settings with Academic Director, Dr. Nagireddy Putluri, of Metabolomics Core, BCM. I have developed my academic career on a strong foundation in biological mass spectrometry and its applications in metabolomics and proteomics. I have been involved in new method developments in terms of innovation of cancer metabolism research and expanded my research interest area on cancer metabolism, especially the effect of carcinogens in bladder cancer. Subsequently, interested in performing the metabolomics and lipidomics study, I am providing the consolation to design experiments, interpret data, help them write papers, and submit grants. These active efforts have helped to prepare me to bring a scholarly approach into my leadership roles. As a natural extension of my ongoing efforts to expand my knowledge and skills, it will lead to strong collaborations with colleagues within and outside of the institutions. The primary focus of my research is to develop innovative lipidomics and metabolomics methodologies that allow for rapid data collection to gain greater insight into cancer metabolism. In addition, it will help identify metabolic biomarkers and targeted metabolic pathways.Websites
