iCAMP Mentored Student Awarded at Rice University Event
Rice University sophomore student Syed Murtaza Kazmi, who is double majoring in neuroscience and sports medicine & exercise physiology and serves as research intern at the Interdisciplinary Consortium on Advanced Motion Performance (iCAMP) and the Center to Stream Healthcare in Place (C2SHIP), won second place for his poster presentation at the Rice Undergraduate Neuroscience Symposium. Kazmi's research primarily investigates the efficacy of a wearable neuromodulator, the Quell Fibromyalgia device, in alleviating persistent COVID-19 symptoms such as pain and fatigue.
C2SHIP's mission and vision focus on advancing in-home healthcare technologies that enable individuals to manage chronic conditions from the comfort of their homes. Through fostering innovation, promoting multispecialty collaborations and facilitating resource sharing, C2SHIP aims to develop a well-equipped workforce to improve wellness through self-care technologies.
