For the 18th annual Charity Ball, students at Baylor College of Medicine are transforming the event into The Bowling Ball. Taking place Saturday, June 1, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Palace Bowling Lanes, 4191 Bellaire Blvd, the event benefits the Houston Shoulder to Shoulder Foundation and the Baylor Teen Health Clinic.

Individual and group tickets as well as sponsor packages are available for purchase. The event will include bowling, music, food and a raffle.

Houston Shoulder to Shoulder Foundation, in alliance with the Asociación San Lucas, Honduras, aims to improve health and the provision of health services for underserved people in the area of Santa Ana, Intibuca, Honduras, and to promote self-sufficiency at a grass roots level.

The Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinic began in 1969 as a one-day-a-week maternity clinic for young women and has grown to a network of eight clinics treating young women ages 13 to 23 and young men ages 13 to 25. It is one of the nation’s largest providers of indigent teen health care, offering comprehensive medical services, including reproductive care, health education, case management, counseling and support and social services.
