Residents in the thoracic surgery integrated residency program interact with broad and diverse faculty, many of whom are innovators and thought leaders in cardiothoracic and general surgery. Cardiothoracic surgery faculty are organized into four divisions in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, as follow

- Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery: Drs. Barron, Coselli, Rosengart, Cornwell, Casar, Chatterjee, Ghanta, Mattox, Moon, Orozco-Sevilla, Preventza, Schutz, and Wall
- Division of Thoracic Surgery: Drs. Fernandez, Groth, and Ripley
- Division of Cardiothoracic Transplantation and Circulatory Support: Drs. Liao, Frazier, Cohn, Loor, and Shafii
- Division of Congenital Heart Surgery: Drs. Caldarone, Adachi, Cambronero, Heinle, Hickey, and Imamura.
In addition, faculty include surgeons from the Surgical Associates of Texas (Drs. Livesay, Hallman, and Cozart) and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (Drs. Vaporciyan, Hofstetter, Antonoff, Rajaram, Sepesi, Mehran, Swisher, Walsh, and Rice)
