- Clinical programs achieved national recognition, including MBSAQIP reaccreditation and Blue Cross Blue Shield Center of Excellence designation under direction of medical director Dr. Samer Mattar
- As of 2026, the Ben Taub Hospital Level I trauma program is in an accreditation reporting year under the leadership of Dr. Catherine Seger as medical director of trauma surgery and Dr. Caitlin Fitzgerald as associate trauma medical director
- Innovation improved access to care, as Baylor St. Luke’s ACS section chief Dr. Ryan Dumas led development of a direct-to-operating room workflow for acute surgery patients
