At the time of appointment, the fellow should have satisfactorily completed 36 months of residency training in the United States in a program approved by the Residency Review Committee in Ophthalmology and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or in a Canadian program approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent program. Matched applicants will be required to obtain a Texas Medical License prior to the July start date. See Eligibility Checklist.
The Texas Medical Board also requires that applicants pass a licensure examination (typically USMLE or COMLEX) acceptable to the Board. A complete listing of acceptable exams is found in the Texas Administrative Code §163.6. See Board Rules.

Please refer to the SFMatch website to register for the match and read about the new process for applying to Ophthalmology Fellowship training, which includes the Central Application System (CAS). Once registered, you can view our program listing on the SFMatch directory website for all required documents. Medical school transcript and CV are requested to be submitted separately in addition to the CAS requirements.
