Where Our Graduates Go
After graduating from residency, BCM internal medicine residents pursue a variety of exciting career opportunities, including subspecialty fellowship training, outpatient and inpatient general medicine jobs, and global health experiences. Our graduates enjoy fulfilling careers in both academic medicine and community practice.
Approximately 60 percent of Baylor Internal Medicine residency graduates choose to pursue advanced fellowship training. For these residents, the Baylor program has developed a robust pathway centered around customized experiences within each of the subspecialties. Baylor residents have access to the following resources to build relationships with key faculty members and to ensure matching competitively within their chosen specialty:
- Dedicated Subspecialty Faculty Mentors
- Extensive Research Opportunities
- Clinical Research Electives
- Workshops on Research Methods
- Fellowship Forum (Q&A Session with Fellowship Directors)
- Residency Leadership Advisors
- Subspecialty Electives
Congrats to our residents on the 2024 Fellowship Match!
