Dr. Scott's clinical and research studies focus on resuscitation of the trauma patient, care for the open abdomen, and on methodologies for complex abdominal wall reconstruction, as well as surgery of the foregut.
Dr. Scott has already received several of the Gene A. Guinn Outstanding Faculty Teaching Awards, several Norton Rose Fulbright Faculty Excellence Awards, and he is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Educators at Baylor College of Medicine.
