Residents have published original research, presented at national PM&R and subspecialty conferences, and continue to be involved in program-organized research and quality improvement projects. Every year, our PGY3 residents complete a comprehensive review of the literature on a topic of their choice, and their work is presented at the annual William H. Donovan, MD Critical Review of the Literature Presentations. Here are the presentation topics done by our residents in the past few years.

The first Harvey Levin and Margaret Nosek Research Day was held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 where residents presented their research to faculty and guests.

Presentations were made by:

  • Associate Professor Felicia Skelton, M.D. on Mixed Methods and Implementation Science in Rehabilitation Research
  • Assistant Professor Jared Howell, MPD on Power to the Plantar Flexors: Early Research on the Restoration of “PushOff” in Individuals with Transtibial Amputation or Plantar Flexor Weakness.

First and second place awards were awarded to Nnaemeka Nweke, M.D. and Aaron Charnay, M.D.
