About Us
The Henry J.N. Taub Department of Emergency Medicine is a specialty practice that focuses on the treatment of acute and urgent medical conditions. Emergency practitioners treat the full spectrum of patients using skills ranging from those of a general practitioner to specialists. We serve our community by providing high-quality, compassionate emergency care to a diverse patient population. In addition, educating and mentoring the next generation of leaders in emergency medicine is a top priority of the department. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative research environment that is dedicated to discovery and innovation. Located at Ben Taub Hospital, our emergency team includes emergency-trained, board-certified physicians from leading healthcare institutions around the country with a diversity of expertise.
Emergency Medicine Residency
We offer a three-year, ACGME accredited emergency residency program, driven by our commitment to service, education and leadership.
Fellowship Programs
Our fellowship programs offer trainees the opportunity to develop advanced skills under the mentorship of nationally recognized faculty who are experts in their disciplines.
