The Section of Immunology Allergy & Rheumatology is committed to making the medical student elective an outstanding educational experience. The Section provides an opportunity to experience inpatient, outpatient, and consultant services at Ben Taub Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Students may chose from a variety of electives including:

  • MEMED-201 : Rheumatology, Ben Taub General Hospital and Smith Clinic
  • MEMED-559A : Rheumatology, Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs
  • MED-571 : Clinical Immunology Elective Course
