2024 Houston Nutrition & Obesity Symposium, Nov. 9.
The prevalence of nutritional disorders, e.g. obesity, has been increasing at an alarming rate. Texas ranks among the top ten states in the U.S. with the highest obesity rates, while the greater metropolitan area of Houston has the highest obesity rate in the state of Texas.
The greater Houston area, comprised of over 60 medical institutions, is emerging as a “hub” for clinical, translational, and basic research in nutrition, obesity and metabolic disorders. To foster cross-institutional collaborations across the greater Houston area and to facilitate development of multi-center research networks, we are planning the second annual, one-day 2024 Houston Nutrition & Obesity Symposium on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The symposium will be held at Levit Green (2505 Greensboro Dr, Houston, TX 77021) with generous sponsorship from Sino Biologicals US, Inc. Nutrition and obesity researchers from the greater Houston area will be invited to join the Symposium and present your recent research in the form of an oral or poster presentation. Additional details will be posted soon.
