Why BCM PREP? – explain how your participation in the BCM post-baccalaureate program will help you reach your career goal.
Research Experience – describe your previous research experiences, including the idea/question/goal, the hypothesis, your experimental approach, your results, and what you learned and the significance of the work. Describe what added research experience you hope to gain in the BCM PREP.

Letter of Recommendation (3)
Three (3) letters of recommendation are required from professors and/or research supervisors. One of the letters must be from a research supervisor, preferably the most recent.
When selecting your referees, it is important for them to comment on your desire to be a scientist, intellectual ability, creativity and imagination, scientific background in coursework, laboratory and/or technical skills, in comparison to other student groups (e.g., high school, undergraduate, graduate), suitability for graduate school and research, ability to complete long-term tasks, ability to interact with others, honesty, integrity and maturity.
Enter each recommender's name and email address into the application system. Once the application is submitted, each recommender will be sent an email invitation to submit the letter. You will receive an email notification as each letter of recommendation is received.
Transcripts
You are required to upload an unofficial transcript for your application from all colleges and universities attended. If you are selected to participate in the program, you must request an official transcript to be sent electronically from your school to prep-program@bcm.edu. Electronic transcripts emailed directly from the applicant are considered copies and will not be accepted
